Chicken and broccoli twist recipe

Recipe for Chicken & Broccoli that gets children to eat vegetables without knowing it.

We all know how difficult it can be to get our children to eat vegetables. Well, I have a recipe that children will love and the whole family can enjoy it hot or cold. This healthy, fast and easy to make vegetable and meat pastry makes a great side dish, lunch or meal for a family dinner. This recipe serves 4.

Shopping list of ingredients are as follows:

3 cups chopped,cooked boneless chicken

1 cup broccoli (chopped)

1/2 cup each of red & green bell peppers(chopped)

1 garlic clove (minced)

1/4 tsp.of salt & pepper

1 cup of cheddar cheese(or muzzarella)

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 1/2 tsp.Dill mix seasoning

2 8oz. pkgs.of any brand refrigerated crescent rolls

1 lightly whipped egg white

Preheat your oven to 350F.

Chop your chicken,broccoli,red & green bell peppers and garlic clove very small and put into large mixing bowl.

Add your cheese,mayonnaise,dill mix,salt & pepper to bowl and mix all ingredients well.

Without separating the crescent roll dough,place carefully on a greased baking sheet and use a small rolling pin to smooth out the perforations.

Going along the length of your pan, cut strips into dough approx. 1 1/2-inches deep and 2-inches apart evenly, on both sides of pan.

Now spread the mixture along the middle of the dough. To close the twist, bring up each strip of dough from each side of pan and wrap around to join in the middle. On each end of pan,fold and tuck under so the mixture doesn't leak out the ends. Before placing in your preheated oven, brush the egg white over the dough generouosly.

Place in middle rack of oven and bake 30-35 minutes or until a golden brown. Cut into desired slices and enjoy this meal hot for a meal or cold for a snack.
